Who actually likes Enrichment? Heather has her new calling. Although the Primary was clamoring for her (and she wanted to go there) she has been sent to add a youthful zip to the PF&H Enrichment program.
Doug has been charged with not letting any Deacons squeak by without getting through their Duty to God requirements. I'm the YM secretary. Someone has gotten the wrong impression of "Dr. Tanner." I might be able to hold my own with a class of college students but Deacons are a whole different ball of wax.
We are writing this on the back porch swing as we listen to the rain falling gently on the deck. It was very pleasant until Daphne realized we couldn't hear her screaming "HUG AND A KISS!!" It's a cool 56 degrees and all we can hear are the raindrops and a few wet crickets.
Tomorrow, Heather thinks we will be planting a garden (In the mud, probably).
It's good to be a whole family again. We're sure thankful for everyone who has helped out with the kids and stuff since we moved.

Good calling for you Doug...your fast, not even a Deacon will get past you. Congratulations on all good things happening. I feel your PEACE!
Heather...go to Charis blog "Easy Breezy"...long sweet sad story but there you will find lots of blog and scrapping stuff. Love you.
Glad you guys are all together again! The picture you described of you two sitting together on the porch makes me happy. Good luck with Enrichment. I actually love Enrichment. The activities are my social life, but then, we have a lot of young moms in the ward who attend so it's pretty comfortable. Doug, good luck. Those Deacons can be a handful, from what I've heard and seen! Heather, have you visited www.thepioneerwoman.com? I think of how much you would love it most of the time I'm on there. If you haven't explored it yet, do. Anyway, have a great day! I need your phone number some time!
glad u r all together again... miss you guys. Wish this country weren't so big and we weren't so far away...
Oh yay! I'm glad you guys are all back together again!!! tell the kiddos HELLO, we miss you guys!
yay! our ward's Enrichment could sure use some livening up. And I'm so happy that you get to live up the good life in one of the lovely mountain valleys of the west, and together at that!
sitting on the porch at the end of the day: makes me think of Copeland's Saturday Night Waltz from Rodeo. I picture a busy evening of finishing dishes and chores and then finally the lovely peacefulness of having time together out on the porch, maybe even waltzing if you're so inclined. that's what my mind's eye thinks of listening to this piece. : )
Few things in life are better than sitting on the porch and listening to the rain.
