No Baby, Yet

I just had to post something so Heather's dirty picture would be moved down the page a little.

Since I've got your attention, I'll mention that I get to go to the Ribosome conference in Orvieto, Italy this summer. A week in Italy with all expenses paid, boy the riboosme has been good to me!
See a snapshot of the place at this link:

Thanks for sparing us Doug. I was thinking of flagging your blog, but now it is a little more modest. BTW does Heather get to go with you to Italy? Torrie votes that she should (as if our votes counted).

So I was reading this book today and I saw that Winston Churchill's wife was named Clementine and it looked so nice in print. You should look into naming a child Clementine.

I like Jenny's suggestion. Clementine is lovely. However I don't think Clem will work. How about Minnie!!

No, I don't get to go. Oh, the injustice--I stay home 8 weeks postpartum with four children. I love Italy but I have instructed Doug upon penalty of death that he must bring me back an original piece of pottery, or painting, as well as a fine piece of jewelry. Oh, yes, there is a high price for leaving me home.

For the record I love the name Clementine and have long had the name on my favorites list. Doug, however, feels that the catchy tune "Oh, My Darlin' Clementine" will adversely affect any child if sung too often during childhood and the tween years. It's a risk he's not willing to take. Sigh.
