This is the view I saw entering the backyard.
The pumpkins will be perfect for Jack-o-lanterns.
These marigolds are volunteers. Marigolds are one of my favorite flowers. Not only are they cheery and hearty, they keep bugs away as well.
Our melons would have been perfect if they'd not been picked (I won't point fingers) too early. Even in mini-size they were beautiful and pleasant to taste.
I have an assortment of herbs which are fun for cooking. More than anything, however, I love the multitudes of honey bees they attract.
Rosemary is a beautiful plant.
This winter the bees will be feasting on oregano, basil, mint, dill, and parsley infused honey. Yum?

What a wonderful garden. I love gardening. But I only do flowers, we tried to kill all produce this year. Loved the posts about Brigham's DI and the concerned citizens. I understand all too well the screaming children in stores story. I just have never had a personal visit from an officer.
Beautiful Garden!
so lovely indeed. I'm very impressed by your pumpkins! and nothing sets of the growing green of a veggie garden like marigolds! those are some healthy volunteers.
Love your blog Heather! Hey, I had to laugh at James' picture (missing tooth). Look at the latest one of Abraham. He's lost his first tooth and the permanent one is already making its way in. But the hillbilly look is pretty cute in the meantime :)
Don't be so modest! The pictures and garden are gorgeous! I need you to teach me!
Your garden looks delicious! I miss the lush Utah landscapes! Your kids are adorable, too!
